Monday Made It! Student picture frames

Linking up for the summer's first weekly Monday Made It!! Don't you love summer and gettin' your craft on?

So a couple months ago I found this CUTE bulletin board at Learning in Wonderland. I LOVE IT!
I LOVE this wall and want to do the same thing in my room next year. So I found these super cute damask frames on Etsy

32 damask clipart frames or labels - Digital frames - Clip art labels - 32 PNG files - INSTANT DOWNLOAD Pack 214

I printed, laminated and cut cut cut! And here are some of the frames for my bulletin board which will be a bright blue background with white and black border...

My students will be writing about themselves and switching out the paragraph underneath their frame during work on writing time. I'm excited about the student recognition and the sense of belonging this will bring to my classroom. The writing about yourself to display for other students to read is also a great incentive for writing.

How do you recognize your students in your classroom?

  1. Absolutely in love with this and am going to have to steal the idea! :) I teach 4th grade (our school is 4th & 5th). Two elementary schools in town house k-3, so kids come to 4th not knowing 1/2 of their classmates. This will be a great board for the fall. I think below their pictures I am going to have a simple (Name: Nickname: Favorite Food: Interests: ) to tell about each child! I might make mine zebra print to go along with my theme! ;) Thanks

  4. I saw this same picture on pinterest last summer. I cut the frames from with a Cricut machine. They wrote about their first quarter goals and I placed it under their frames.
