Making Your Classroom look "Put Together"

Linking up with Holly!

There are some classrooms you walk into and they just feel put together. You know what I mean? Well, I have been looking at Melanie's website from Schoolgirl Style and all of her classroom decor posts are 'put together' and look fabulous! I decided to try some of her cleverness.

I put up a few bulletin boards over the past few days. Every single one of them have the same base colored paper and same borders.
Even though my classroom is all stacked up for the summer, these bulletin boards have already changed the feel of my room! Even my four year old commented on how "pretty" they made my room.  Such a simple thing that makes a huge impact!

  1. I love your board! I wish we could get ours ready before summer but we aren't allowed. I am trying something new with mine for next year. I will be sure to post pictures when the year starts!

  2. Love your boards! I wish I could get into my classroom over the summer, but we're "locked out" until pre-planning :( I do love SchoolGirl style, and am trying to narrow all the colors in my room down to just a couple. It really makes a difference. I can't wait to see your room when you get it all done! :)

  3. I tried the same background and borders for this past year too and really liked the cohesive feel! We are fortunate to get some work done in our rooms over the summer too (although I have still have students currently for this year:). Reading the two comments above makes me realize just how fortunate we are! Thanks for linking up, friend!

  5. I was thinking about doing the same to make a cohesive look. I just haven't figured out what color and border I want. I have a color scheme in mind though. :)
