Tracking Reading and Dad is my Hero!

I've been playing with ways to track my class's reading next year for the past month. Last week I was having a primary meeting for my church and I was asked to make a scripture tracking sheet for all our kids. This gave me a chance to try out one of my ideas for my classroom next year. Here is what I made...

My printer died so my husband printed this at work with their super huge printer. It is like five feet wide and awesome! The kids were so excited! Here is how it works: we sent home a monthly calendar and the kids mark off every day they read from the scriptures and at the end of the month we add up the total number of day we all read! 500, 1500, 3000, and 4000 are all points were the kids will get rewarded. I'm lovin' it!

Secondly, I had the kids make super hero masks for their fathers today! They turned out so cute! I didn't get a picture though and my one year old ate my daughters as soon as she gave it to her dad. Here is a screen shot of the document though...

Cut out the eyes, hole punch the sides, tie a string and you have a super hero mask!

Remember! The Guided Math book study starts next Monday, June 24th! The ebook is only $9 on Amazon. So many people have responded, it is going to rock!
